Would it have ever been in doubt? Arguably one of the best F1 drivers of all time, Lewis Hamilton, claimed his sixth title this weekend at Austin.
Despite being beaten on track by his Mercedes teammate Valterri Bottas, Hamilton did all he needed to secure the title with two races to spare.
It has been an incredible year for the British driver, who has commanded the standings after swapping 1-2 finishes with Bottas in the first seven races.
Hamilton is now on the verge of matching Michael Schumacher, whose seven titles was previously thought unmatchable.
