Jenson Button announced earlier this morning that he would be leaving the Japanese series after this weekend’s Motegi finale.
After securing the 2018 SuperGT title, Button has appeared in the DTM crossover event which sparked rumours he might transfer to the European series. However, nothing has been confirmed, and the 2009 F1 world champion looks to be out of action next year.

And who can blame him? The effervescent Button has appeared of Sky F1 as a pundit, on top of becoming a dad for the first time.
If there’s anything I’d like to see Button do, it would be to get involved with events like the Spa 24hr with the Rocket RJN team that he co-owns.
