Much loved American brand, Saleen, have taken the covers off their brand new GT4 car, set to compete in SRO-sanctioned series next year.
The Saleen S1 GT4 ‘Concept’ shares the majority of its make-up with the S1 Cup car that was new for 2019, including a 2.2 litre, four-cylinder turbo engine that outputs 450bhp.
There has also been notable body sculpting, increasing downforce and turning the S1 into a true GT weapon. A new front splitter and fender combination has been matched at the rear with an “advanced” diffuser, rear wing.

Pending homologation, the S1 GT4 could be racing as soon as 2020 in series like British GT, Michelin Pilot Challenge, Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia.
If you call yourself a motorsports fan, then this news should definitely have turned your head.
It feels as if the Saleen brand has been away from the track for far too long, with the S7R last competing in 2010.
