Driven by stalwart Chevrolet drivers Tommy Milner and Oliver Gavin, the silver C7.R took to the Shanghai circuit as part of a one-off entry.
The car ditched the typical ‘Millennium Yellow’ for a silver tone, as a nod to special-edition range of cars that were being sold in China.
The race was stopped twice as heavy rain caused dangerous track conditions. It wasn’t until the fourth hour of the race that cars were able to run continuously on a safe circuit.

The GTE Pro class which the silver Corvette competed was dominated by the Aston Martin #95 car which even finished ahead of the LMP2 class victor.
Gavin and Milner finished 10th on the road, but were promoted post race as a result of penalties for the #81BMW and the #67 Ford.
It want the first time a Corvette has appeared in the WEC, as one was previously entered during the Lone Star Le Mans event at Austin, 2014
