Ahead of the 2019 BTCC season, BTC Racing revealed the two Honda Civic Type-R FK8’s that will be piloted by Josh Cook and Chris Smiley.
The FK8’s debuted last year with Halfords Yuasa Racing fielding the newest Civic iteration.
BTC Racing enjoyed an impressive fourth place finish in the Independent Teams standings for the second consecutive season, with Daniel Lloyd and Chris Smiley taking a win each.
The team will be hoping to share in the success of the FK8, using ex-Halfords Yuasa machines for another season.
Triple-BTCC champion Matt Neal and Porsche Carrera Cup GB star Dan Cammish took four wins over the course of 2018 in the first year for the FK8, peaking in a double 1-2 in the first two races of the final weekend at Brands Hatch GP.
Not only are the Cheshire-based team changing cars but have strengthened the driver line-up in the form of Josh Cook, who moves from Power Maxed Racing.
Cook will race alongside the retained Chris Smiley, who took his maiden race win in race three at Rockingham.
New cars, fast drivers, and even more experience in the BTCC, expect BTC Racing to be fighting for big points in 2019.
