In his first year with Honda, Jorge Lorenzo will work with Dani Pedrosa’s former track engineer and will ring with him only one Ducati crew member.
The Spaniard will partner reigning champion Marc Marquez at Repsol Honda, meaning he will have driven for the top three teams in just four years.
Lorenzo has chosen to take his trusted mechanic Juan Llansa to Honda, just like his move from Yamaha to Ducati in 2017.
Llansa has worked with Lorenzo for a large proportion of his career.
Should Lorenzo challenge Marquez and make a strong assault on the 2019 title, the team must work quickly and effectively to bring him up to speed with the Honda. The Spaniard will not want a repeat of 2018 which has left him 10th in the standings despite three race wins.
